How to enter my DMR ID into the DM380 ?

How to enter my DMR ID into the DM-380, is it done via the software or via the Menu on the radio itself ?

The DMR ID is the second field on the software screen.  The first field is where you put your callsign.

It's not always possible to have your computer with you to find out the color code and talkgroups in use on a frequency, so in this video I show you how you could listen in without this information, using just an MD-380 and a cheap analog radio.

How to determine if the radio has the 16Mbytes SPI-Flash or not ?

HI to Everyone,

we are facing big troubles in patching the TYT MD-380 (neither Tytera, nor Retevis. TYT only).

The patched firmware is running well, both on our Tytera MD-380 and Retevis RT3 handhelds. While doesn't work on TYT branded MD-380.

We know that it only works on radios with 16Mbytes SPI-Flash.

So here's the question: "Is there a way to determine if my radio has the 16Mbytes SPI-Flash or not ?

I'm looking for this kind of information everywhere, but no infos at all up today.

Is there any chace to solve this matter ?

Thank you in advance for any tip

Tytera MD-280 DMR portable radio

Tytera MD-280 Digital Two-Way Radio

Tytera, a Chinese manufacture ,which is more commonly know in North American as “TYT”, released the MD-380 DMR portable radio this week here at IWCE 2015. This compact portable radio is one of the first units aside from Motorola and Kirisun to feature a colour display. In addition, this radio features 1,000 channels and is expected to be keypad programmable or FPP (front panel programmable) capable via a hidden menu within the radios settings. While TYT expected to make the radio available to the public at the event, some firmware issues have delayed their launch until April. The anticipated retail price for the MD-380 is $140 USD.
